Andrew, you have to at least offer the Genius a handjob and a pack of cigarettes.
PS. The trick is to bring up obscure Apple policies discussed on the Apple Support Forums. For example the old MacBook batteries could be discharged 300 times. I mentioned this policy to the Genius as my MacBook battery was under 300 cycles and reporting malfunctions and he replaced it when my computer was three and a 1/2 years old and way out of warranty. Then I sucked him off. I also got a new MagSafe that way too.
